was created as the capital by the British and hence reflects the British
legacy. Difference between the capitals of the British and the Mughals

the city’s past. Places of interest in Delhi are: Red Fort,
Jama Masjid, Chandani Chowk, Raj Ghat, Jantar Mantar, Raj Path and

Temple, Birla Temple, etc. Delhi is center of the famous Golden
Triangle of three regal cities Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur.

Agra:
Agra City is famous for the Taj Mahal, which is described as the
most extravagant monument ever built for love. It is a de facto
tourist emblem of India. This poignant Mughal mausoleum was constructed
by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his second wife Mumtaz Mahal.
The other sites in Agra includes: Agra Fort, Mausoleum of Akbar, Fatehpursikri,
etc.
Jaipur:
Jaipur, popularly known as the Pink City, is the capital of the
state of Rajsthan. Since long time it has been on tourist itineraries
as a third corner of India's Golden Triangle (300 Km southwest of
Delhi and 200 Km west of Agra). The 'pink city' label, applies specifically,
to the old walled quarter of Jaipur. Glorious palaces and temples,
in an assortment of styles, are scattered throughout the urban area.

Gate, etc.
Varanashi:For over 2000 years, Varanashi, the 'eternal city', has been the religious capital of India. The most sacred temple in Varanashi is Viswanath Temple (Temple of Lord Shiva). Built on the banks of the sacred Ganges, it is believed an instant Nirvana is obtained when a person dies in Varanashi Varanashi has over 100 bathing and burning ghats but the Manikarnika Ghat is the most sacred of them all. This is the main burning ghat and one of the most auspicious places that a Hindu can be cremated. Other places of interest are: Ramnagar Fort & Museum, Durga Temple, Tulsi Manas Temple, Benaras Hindu University, etc. Sarnath: is 10 Km away from Varanashi Lord Buddha gave first preach when he got enlighten in Bodh gaya. Sikkim:Sikkim is in east of Nepal and has border with Tibet, Bhutan, and Darjeeling of west Bengal. Kanchenjunga, the third highest peak in the world, is a border peak between Nepal and Sikkim. The Kanchenjunga peak is the land mark of Sikkim and it dominates this small but a beautiful country. Gangtok is the capital of Sikkim.

Darjeeling: Darjeeling is well known hill resort town in West Bengal state in India. The city is at the height of 2,134 m above sea level. Darjeeling was developed into a rest and recreational center for British troops. The city still retains legacies of the British Government in India.The panoramic view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and tea gardens are main attractions of Darjeeling. The other attraction includes Toy train ride to Darjeeling.
