We hope you are aware of situation in Nepal. Nepal is a very hospitable country and Peoples are very friendly. Tourism in Nepal is safe and will remain safe. In this regard we like to mention that there is no report of any assaults to any Tourists by rebels. However there has been a few reports of extortion during trekking in remote area. The Popular tourism destination like Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Everest region, Annapurna region, Langtang region, etc. are considered very safe regions. Bandh is a strike called by any political party. Therefore some change in the itinerary must be expected if a Transport strike is called by a political party. Such strike has zero effect in sight seeing in Kathmandu valley or trekking or any tours in Tibet.
